Erin Kelly Couch, AIA
Erin has been with PSJH since 2015, currently in the role of Standards and Design Director. Erin is directly responsible for the direction, implementation and updating of the PH &S Recommended Acute Care Standards, as well as provide oversight for the Physician Division/Real Estate and Construction System Standard for Clinics.
In addition, Erin provides high level design and architectural advice for all System ministries in conjunction with RESO’s Enterprise Council. Other responsibilities include collaboration with System service providers and vendors, coordination with PSJH’s Resource, Environment and Hospitality group, planning and design oversight for the University of Providence, Great Falls, Providence St. Patrick’s Medical Center’s MOB in Missoula, as well as the lead coordinator for the UPPS/CHILL education/simulation project.
Erin‘s career as a healthcare architect spans over 30 years, with a focus on projects in Oregon, Washington and California. Projects include clinics in urban and rural sites, critical access and acute care hospitals, as well as medical office buildings, ambulatory surgical centers and facility planning for many healthcare entities. She is a registered architect in the State of Oregon, a member of the American Institute of Architects, and is the Past Chair of Architecture for Health Committee (AHC), a NW organization comprised of individuals who are interested in healthcare architecture and work to improve the quality of planning, operation, design and construction of health care facilities.
Erin is also the current Chair of the Building and Grounds for the Madeleine Church and School, member of the Oregon Humane Society’s Building committee, and has served on the Board of St. Mary’s Academy, a private all-girls high school in Portland, OR.
